Cookies

Cookies (external website) are simple alphanumeric strings stored on your computer. We don't use cookies to collect personally identifiable information about you, other than the basic information you give if you create an account on our website.

We do use cookies for website usage statistics. Google Analytics places a cookie on your computer to store basic information about your last visit to the website. Read about the cookies used by Google Analytics (external website).

If you sign in to your account on the website, a cookie will be placed on your browser so as you browse the website, the site can 'see' that you are logged in. You will need to use this feature to add a comment to the website or any other interactive function other than to contact us.

However, if you wish to restrict or block the cookies we, or any other websites, use, you can do this through your browser settings. The Help function within your browser should tell you how.

You can set your browser to accept or reject all, or certain, cookies. You can also set your browser to prompt you each time a cookie is offered. For details on how to do this on the browser you use, please see AboutCookies.org (external website).

To find out which version of browser you are using, click on 'Help' and then 'About (name of browser).

Web Activity Reporting

We use ‘Google Analytics’ to monitor website usage. This records your IP addresss, and browser type, date and time of activity. None of this information is tied to a personally identifiable piece of data (like e-mail address). The Wales Co-operative Centre will use this information to analyse general page view and referrer activity to get a sense of traffic patterns and placement effectiveness. This information helps us to constantly improve the website for you the user.

Contact Us

We are always glad to hear from you. If you contact us asking for information, we may need to contact other third parties to find that information.

We do not pass on any of your personal information when dealing with your enquiry, unless you have given us permission to do so. Once we have replied to you, we keep a record of your message for audit purposes.

Registration

You do not have to register to use the Wales Co-operative Centre website, but you do need to register to add comments to articles and workshops, and if you want to receive e-mail updates or our e-newsletter.

You can change your registration preferences, e-mail address and login details through the website at any time. If you wish to amend your personal profile, please click on the 'Log in' link at the top of the page, log in to your account, and check/uncheck the options available in 'Edit my profile'.

Newsletters

We will not send you email newsletters at any time unless you have expressly opted in to receive them.

The Data Protection Act

Under the Data Protection Act, we have a legal duty to protect any information we collect from you. We use leading technologies and encryption software to safeguard your data, and keep strict security standards to prevent any unauthorised access to it.

We do not pass on your details to any third party without your permission.
